Eilis is an Associate Professor in Bioinformatics at the University of Exeter and an EPSRC Research Software Engineering Fellow, as Chief Data Officer she leads strategy across the DCC & wider FGx partners. Her research focuses on applying genomic and epigenomic approaches to understand gene regulation. Eilis is also a Fellow of the Software Sustainability Institute and founded Exeter’s Coding for Reproducible Research programme, which promotes high-quality research software and reproducible research practices across the university.
