UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative Scientific Symposium 2027

The 3rd UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative Scientific Symposium is scheduled to take place in London on Monday 24th May 2027, bringing together researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders to explore the latest advances in human functional genomics.

Join the UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative for our annual Scientific Symposium, a leading forum bringing together researchers, clinicians, innovators and industry partners from across the UK and beyond.

Building on the success of our previous symposiums, our 3rd event will showcase exciting advances in human functional genomics and explore how cutting-edge technologies, data and collaborative approaches are transforming our understanding of genetic variation and its impact on human health.

Expect a dynamic programme of inspiring keynote talks, cutting-edge research presentations and engaging discussions & a poster session, highlighting the latest discoveries across the field. Hear from leading experts in academia and industry, discover emerging approaches and explore how functional genomics can help move from genetic association to biological mechanism — and ultimately towards new opportunities for improving human health.

The symposium will also provide plenty of opportunities to connect, collaborate and share ideas, with dedicated networking sessions bringing together researchers at all career stages, technology experts, clinicians and industry leaders.

Whether you are already working in functional genomics or are keen to discover how your research could connect with this rapidly developing field, the symposium is an opportunity to learn from the community, spark new collaborations and be part of shaping the future of human functional genomics.

We are passionate about making our opportunities accessible to everyone and believe that every student should have the chance to participate, regardless of their financial circumstances. As part of our upcoming event, we would be keen to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds by offering funded places to those who may otherwise be unable to attend. Our aim is to remove financial barriers, create equal opportunities and ensure that everyone has the chance to learn, grow and benefit from this experience. Please email [email protected] to learn more about our fully funded places.
