Innovation & Collaboration Fund

We are pleased to announce our next round of Innovation and Collaboration funding awards. The funding is available to all academics from UK Higher Education Institutions, with opportunities to capitalise on the funding with industry collaboration.

Academic and Industry partnership awards

These awards will enable the development of links between industrial partners and the UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative. Industrial partners will be expected to provide matched funding (cash and/or in-kind). These awards can be used to support feasibility, pilot or initial studies to provide preliminary experiments to explore ideas and generate initial data which could support the development of competitive collaborative grant proposals for longer term projects.

Timelines:

1st April 2026 Grant call opens

1st November 2026 Application deadline (2359)

Mid December 2026 Review Panel meets

January 2027 Funding decisions announced

1st March 2027 Earliest project start date
