Professor Benjamin Housden is the Industry Partnerships Manager for the UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative. His role is to engage with academics and companies in the functional genomics sector and facilitate new interactions between them to drive cutting edge research and impact. Benjamin is a Director of Business Engagement and Innovation at the University of Exeter, responsible for the Clinical and Biomedical Sciences Department and the interdisciplinary Living Systems Institute. He is also an Associate Professor, leading a research group using high-throughput genetic screens to understand how genetic variants lead to disease and to identify novel therapeutic strategies.
